ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerzők áttekintik az irodalomban és a saját gyakorlatukban azokat a határterületi problémákat, amelyekre a funkcionális endoszkópos melléküreg sebészeti technika megoldást kínál. Ismereteik a n. opticus decompressiot, a rhinobasis traumás eredetű durasérülései ellátásának indikációit, technikai kivitelezését. Dolgozatukban tárgyalják az orbitalis decompressio javallatait, műtéttanát. Ismertetik az általuk alkalmazott dacryocystorhinostomiát (DCR). Szükségesnek tartják a társszakmákkal való szoros együttműködést.
