ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerző 64 betegen szerzett tapasztalatairól számol be, akiknél a mellső quadran- sokban elhelyezkedő (vagy nagyobb) centrális perforatio miatt tympanoplasticát végzett Bailey (szerző szerint В pull-back) technikával.
A műtét előtt fennálló chronicus gennyedés mind a 25 fülön gyógyult. Minden fülön a dobhártya anatómiai statusa normális, a graft és a kalapácsnyél között jó mechanikus kontaktus alakult ki. Blunting, lateralisatio, reperforatio nem fordult elő. Au- diológiailag 63 fület lehetett értékelni. A műtét utáni csont-légrések átlaga 7,7 dB (szélső érték 0,0—25,0 dB).
Úgy tűnik, hogy a Bailey-technikával elérhető eredmények megközelítik az ideálist, ezért a mellső quadransokban elhelyezkedő (vagy nagyobb) perforatio esetén ennek a technikának az alkalmazása javasolt.

SUMMARY
Observations made on 64 patients with perforation of the tympanic membrane in the anterior quadrants are described. The perforations were closed using Bailey’s technique (called ”B pull-back” by the author).
The preoperatively existing chronic suppuration was cured in all the 25 ears.
Postoperatively the anatomical state of the tympanic mambrane is normal in all of the ears. Between the malleus handle and the graft a good mechanical contact was achieved. No blunting, lateralisation or reperforation occurred.
Audiologically, 63 ears were evaluated. The average of the postoperative air-bone gaps is 7.7 dB (range 0.0—25.0 dB).
The results achieved by the Bailey’s technique seem to approach an ideal, therefore in the case of a central perforation involving the anterior quadrants this technique is recommemded.
