ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerzők a címben jelzett két metodikát hasonlították össze 21 chronicus otitisben szenvedő beteg adatainak feldolgozásával. E két módszer esetén létrejött ingerválasz erőssége között nem találtak szignifikáns eltérést. Ugyanakkor ők is megfigyelték perforált dobhártyánál azt a sajátos jelenséget, hogy a váladék párolgásával magyarázhatóan, a meleg ingerléskor ellentétes irányú reakció jelentkezett. Ilyen esetekben kaptak csupán szignifikánsan csökkentebb ingerválaszt. Véleményük szerint a levegővel való ingerlés nemcsak perforált, de ép dobhártya esetén is jó, használható módszer.

The authors have made a comparison between the two methods included in the title, with writing up of datas of 21 patients who suffered from chronic otitis media. They did not find significant difference in come into being of power of stimulus-response between the two methods. At the same time in cases of tympanic membrane perforations, also they observed that characteristic symptom, which can be explained with evaporation of the secretion, that there has manifested itself a reaction in opposite direction, if they have stimulated with warm temperature.
They got a significantly diminished stimulus-reaction in these cases only. In their opinion, stimulation with air is a good method, not only in perforated, but in hale tympanic membranes too.
