ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
Szerző 71 ehr. mesotympanalis otitisben szenvedő gyermeken végzett. 86 tympanoplastiea eredményéről számol be. A betegek életkora 3—14 év, a kontrollidő 1—9 év között volt. A műtétek az esetek 79%-ában folyó» füleken történtek, és 43%-ban szerepelt korábbi sikertelen mastoidee- tomia az operáltak között. A dobhártya pótlások döntően „overlaid” technikával, a hallócsontláncolat reconstructioja pedig autogen csont corticalissal történt. Szerző a dobüregi adhaesiók kivédésére szilikon-fóliát is alkalmazott, minden szövődmény nélkül. Az eredményeket tekintve végső gyógyulás 95%-ban következett be, a postop. hallásküszöb az esetek több mint 50%-ában 5—20 dB között helyezkedik el, a 30 dB-nél súlyosabb hallásvesztésűek aránya pedig 35%-ról 6%-ra csökkent. Szerző szerint a gyermekkori chr. mesotympanalis otitisek tympanoplasticai módszerekkel kielégítően gyógyíthatók, különösen, ha mastoidectomiával kellő eredmény nem következett be.

SUMMARY
The author reports on the results of 86 tympanoplasties performed on 71 children suffering from chronic mesotympanal otitis. The age of the patients was between 3—14 years and the control period between 1—9 years. The operations were performed in 79% of the cases on discharging ears and in 43% unsuccessful mastoidectomy preceded the operation. “Overlaid” technique was used mainly for replacement of the drum membrane and the reconstruction of the otosteal chain was carried out with autogenous bone cortical. To prevent adhesion in the tympanic cavity the author applied also Silastic- foil without any complication. Regarding the results final recovery took place in 95% of the cases, the postoperative auditory threshold was between 5—20 dB in more than 50% of the cases. The rate of loss of hearing surpassing 30 dB decreased from 35% to 5% In the opinion of the author chronic mesotympanal otitis in childhood may be cured satisfactorily with tympanoplasty especially if mastoidectomy failed to give suitable result.
