ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerzők a közleményük első részében a DOTE Fül-orr-gégeklinikán 10 év alatt (1976—1985) diagnosztizált és telekobalt irradiáeióban részesült 70 meso- és 22 hypopharynx-malignomás beteg adatait ismertetik. Közlik a fontosabb etiológiai tényezőket, és bevezető tünetek előfordulási arányát. Részletezik a beteganyagot histologia, nem, életkor, stádium, TNM szerint. A szerzők hangsúlyozzák a korai felismerés jelentőségét.

SUMMARY
Authors review in the first part of their paper datas of 70 meso- and 22 hypopharyn- geal malignant tumorous patients diagnosed and treated with telecobalt-irradiation in the E. N. T.-Clinic of the DOTE, during a 10 year period between 1976—1985. They report of important etiological factors and of the ratio of occurrence of introductory signs. Patient material is particularized according to histology, sex, age, stage in the sense of TNM-classification. Authors emphasize the importance of early recognization of the disease.
