Szerző ezért hangsúlyozza a daganat korai felismerésének és a megfelelően választott radikális terápiának fontosságát.

The author makes known his experiences of the 15 subtotal pyramidectomies made by themselves. He describes the preoperative symptoms, the course of examinations, the operative resolution. He states, that the course of ear carcinomas and, of the malignant tumours braking into the hearing organs is extraordinarily disadvantageous, even after the total dose of irradiatioa In their material the survival of the patients over 10 years - unanimously with the datas of literature — is only 18%. The author emphasizes therefore the importance of the early recognization and, the appropriately chosen radical therapy.
