ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerzők egy dobüreg! glomus jugularis tumor esetét ismertetik. Az első, a hallás megkúnélése érdekében incomplet műtét nem érte el a célját, mivel a tumor betört a belső fülbe. Esetük demonstrálja a szuperszelektív angiográfla jelentőségét a diagnózisban, ami segítette a nervus facialis megkímélését a második műtéttel történő complet eltávolítás során.
Chemodectoma of the tympanic cavity, involving the facial nerve.
SUMMARY
The authors deal with a case of chemodectoma occuring in the tympanic cavity. The first incomplete operation done for the sake of spare the hearing, did not achieve the purpose, because the tumour invaded the inner ear.
This case demonstrates the importance of superselective angiography in establishing diagnosis and, so the facial nerve could be spared by clearing away of the tumour totally during the second operation.
