ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerző az artéria carotis extemán elhelyezkedő ritka aneurizma esetét ismerteti. Az aneurizma annyira előemelte a garatíveket, hogy a betegnek nyelési panaszokat okozott. Az idős betegbél a kóroki tényező az igen előrehaladott arterioszklerozis és hipertónia lehetett. A szerző összefoglalja azokat az okokat, melyek eredményeként verőértágulat jöhet létre a carotis ágain. Kiemeli az aneurizmák okozta fő tüneteket és felhívja a figyelmet a differenciáldiagnosztikai problémákra.

SUMMARY
The authors report on the unfrequent case of aneurysm situated on the external carotid artery. The pharyngeal archs were protruded by the aneurysm to such an extent that they caused swallowing complaints. Grave arteriosclerosis and hypertension might have been the etiological factors in the case of the aged patient. The authors summarize the causes which can result in the arterial dilatation on the carotid branches. Main symptoms caused by aneurysm are emphasized and the attention is drawn to the problems of differential diagnosis.
