Exploratív tympanotomia során a fossula fenestrae rotundae mélyén ismételten megjelenő minimális folyadék csillanást változásaként észlelt perilympha szivárgást a kerekablakra nyomott zúzott izomdarabbal szüntette meg. A hallás a postope- ratív 24 órán belül 40—60 dB-t javult és 12 nap alatt gyakorlatilag normalizálódott. A 8 kHz-n regisztrált perteptiós kiesés és fülzúgás visszamaradása — a 10 napon belül elvégzett műtéti zárás ellenére — a cochlea ablakok közeli részének izolált, maradandó károsodására utal.

SUMMARY

Successful surgical closing of the spontaneous rupture of the fenestra rotunda membrane leading to sudden deafness.

After exhaustmg sporting otocleisis developed on one side, impairment of hearing which progressed within a week to the limit of deafness and tinnitus were due to the diagnosed rupture of the fenestra rotunda membrane. Oozing of the perilympha which was detected in the course of explorative tympanotomy as the changing gleem of the minimal fluid appearing repeatedly at the bottom of the fossula fenestrae rotundae was stopped by pressing a crushed muscle-piece on the fenestra rotunda. Hearing improved 24 hours after the operation by 40—60 dB and became practically normal within 12 days. The loss of perception registered on 8 k Hz and the remaining tinnitus — despite of the closing operation performed within 10,days — refer to the isolated permanent impairment of the near part of the fenestrae cochleae.
