Az arcüreg megbetegedései jelentős helyet foglalnak el az arcfájdalmakban megnyilvánuló kórképek között. Több éve fennálló makacs facialgiák hátterében sokszor krónikus arcöbölfolyamatok állnak. A sinus maxillaris retenciós cystái okozhatnak neuralgiform fájdalmakat, tüneteik utánozhatják valódi trigeminus neuralgia képét. A kórkép áttekintése után két esetet ismertetnek.

The diseases of the maxillary sinus take un important place among the diseases appearing among the facial pains. In the background of the facial pains persisting since several years often chronic processes of the facial sinus may be detected. The retention cysts of the sinus maxillaris may elicit neuralgiform pains, their symptoms may imitate the picture of true trigeminus neuralgia.
