ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerző élettani szempontból világítja meg az orrlégzés jelentőségét különös tekintettel a légúti betegségek kialakulására. Ontogenetiaki összehasonlítást ad az állatvilággal és ennek kapcsán áttekinti az irodalmat. Mondanivalóját a respiratórikus hám különböző funkcióira irányítja, kiemelvén a csillószőrök működését, s a kellő lubrikációt biztosító különféle nyákoldó, aerosolos kezelésmódokat.
A cikk foglalkozik az orrnyálkahártya vérellátásával, beidegzésével, ezek kölcsönhatásával, hőmérsékletével, légáteresztőképességével, pormegkötp tevékenységével, megemlíti a bakteriológiai vonatkozásokat és felhívja a figyelmet mind az orvosi, mind az ápolástechnikai követelményekre légúti megbetegedések idején.
Munkájával a szerző rá-akarja irányítani a figyelmet a fiziológiás orrlégzési mechanizmusra, amelynek károsodása, akadályoztatása eló'bb-utóbb negatívan kihat mind a felső, mind az alsó légutakra, majd a keringésre is.
SUMMARY
The importance of the nasal respiration in the development of the diseases of the respiratory tract.
The importance of the nasal respiration is discussed by the author with special respect to the development of the diseases of the respiratory tract. Ontogenetic comparison is made with the animal world and the literature on the subject is reviewed. The various functions of the respiratory epithelium are dealt with, emphasizing the function of the cilia, and the various mucolytic, aerosol treatment methods, assuring the necessary lubrification.
In the paper, the blood supply —, the innervation of the nasal mucous membrane -, their interrelation, temperature, air-permeability and dust-fixing capacity are DEALT with. Also the bacteriological bearings are mentioned, and attention is called to the medical and attendance requirements in time of diseases of the respiratory diseases.
The author calls the attention to mechanism of the physiological nasal respiration, the impairment or hindrance of which have - sooner or later — negative effect on both the upper and inferior respiratory tract, and then also on the circulation.
