500 fülműtét kapcsán az otitis és pneumatisatio közötti összefüggést tárgyalja. Az anyag elemzése kapcsán azokkal a szerzőkkel ért egyet, akik az otitis tartósságát összefüggésbe hozzák a pneumatisatiós zavarral. A processus mastoideus sclerosisét ilyen esetekben, a chronikus otitis következményének fogja fel. A legrosszabb pneumatisatiót cholesteatomás eseteinél találta. 190 eset közül 171 esetben (90%) teljes pneumatisatiós gátlást észlelt.

SUMMARY
On the basis of 500 ear operations the relationship between the otitis and the pneuma- tization is discussed by the author. On the basis of the analysis of the material the author agrees with the opinion of the authors, who bring the duration of the otitis into connection with the disturbance of the pneumatization. In these cases, he considers the sclerosis of the mastoid process as a consequence of the chronic otitis. He has found the worst pneumatization in the cases with cholesteatoma. In 171 cases out of 190 ( = 90%), total inhibition of the pneumatization was found.
