ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
Szerzők a Pécsi Fül-orr-gége Klinikán az 1964—68 között eltelt öt év alatt észlelt 19 malignus epipharynx-tumoros beteganyagban előfordult intracranialis szövődményekkel foglalkoznak. Irodalmi adatok és saját megfigyeléseik alapján ismertetik a kórkép jellemző tüneteit, kiemelik a malignus epipharynx tumorok kb. egyharmadában előforduló intracranialis, illetve neurológiai szövődmények jelentőségét, amelyek gyakran megelőzik az epipharynx-tumor diagnosisát és a tünetek jellegénél fogva az alapdiagnosist késleltetik, illetve téves irányba terelhetik.
Intracranial complications of the epipharyngeal tumours
SUMMARY
The intracranial complications observed between 1964 and 1968 in 19 patients with malignant epipharyngeal tumour and treated in the Oto-Rhino-Laryngeal Department of the University Medical School, Pécs, are discussed by the authors. On the basis of the data of the literature and of their observations the eharaeteristical symptoms of the disease are described and the importance of the intracranial and neurologic, resp., complications — occurring in approximately in l/3 of the malignant epipharyngeal tumours — is pointed out. These complications often precede the diagnosis of the epipharyngeal tumour. In consequence of the nature of the symptoms, the diagnosis of the basal disease may be retarded or the symptoms may be misleading.
