ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
Szerzők, klinikájukon kezelt, septikus sinus cavernosus thrombosis esetét ismertetik. A sinus frontálisok és a rostasejt-rendszer gyulladása terjedt át az intracraniumra. Azonnali kétoldali melléküreg-műtét történt külső feltárásból, majd célzott antibiotikus kezelés. A kórlefolyást purulens meningitis, septikus tüdő- és veseszövődmény súlyosbította, és bizonyos ideig liquor csörgés volt észlelhető. A liquor-sipoly spontán záródott, és a beteg lényeges neurológiai és fül-orr-gégészeti eltérés visszamaradása nélkül gyógyult.

SUMMARY
A case of thrombosis of the septic cavernous sinus, treated in the authors’ department, is reported. The inflammation of the frontal sinuses and the system of the ethmoid cells spread into the intracranium. Immediately bilateral surgical intervention has been carried out in the accessory cavities, from external approach, and then antibiotic treatment has been instituted. The course was aggravated by purulent meningitis, septic pulmonary and renal complications, and for some time liquorrhea was observed. The liquor fistula closed spontaneously and the patient recovered without any considerable neurological or oto-rhino-laryngological sequelae.
