ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerzők 63 belsőfül eredetű nagyothallásban szenvedő betegnél Xavin- (Xantinolnicotinat-) infusiós és per orális kezelést végeztek.
A 63 beteg közül 9 esetben toxikus halláskárosodás, 18 esetben vascularis halláscsökkenés, 36-nál Méniére-betegség volt.
A toxikus halláskárosodás esetében a Xavin hatástalan, Méniere- és vascularis eredetű halláscsökkenések jól reagálnak a fenti kezelésre.
A szerzők röviden tárgyalják a Xantinolnicotinat hatásmechanizmusát és ellenjavallatait.

In 63 patients suffering from hardness of hearing — with origin in the inner ear — infusion and oral treatment with Xavin (Xantinolnicotinate) has been performed by the authors.
Among the 63 patients 9 suffered from toxic impairment of hearing, 18 patients from vascular impairment of hearing and 36 patients from Méniére’s syndrome.
In the case of toxic impairment of hearing Xavin was ineffective, — on the other hand, the patients with impairment of hearing of vascular origin and those suffering from Méniére’s syndrome responded in satisfactory manner to this treatment.
The mechanism of action of Xantinolnicotinate and its contraindications are shortly resumed by the authors.
