ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
Szerzők 963 tonsilleetomia során eltávolított mandulában vizsgálták a tonsilla metszlapjáról kitenyészthető kórokozókat, s összefüggést kerestek a bacterium-hordozás és az ABO vércsoportrendszer között.
Megállapították, hogy a 0 csoportúak Staphylococcus hordozásra való esélye több mint kétszerese az AB csoporthoz tartozókénak. Ezt a jelenséget hypothetikusan a 0 gén pleiotrop hatásával (0 többlet), illetve a vércsoport heterozygótákban észlelhető heterosis-hatással (AB hiány) magyarázzák.

SUMMARY
In tonsils resected at 963 tonsillectomies the pathogens cultivated from the cut- -surface of the tonsils have been examined by the authors, in order to reveal relationship between the bacterium-carrying and the ABO-blood-group system. It has been found that the chance to carry Staphylococcus is the double in the individuals appertaining to the group О than of those of the Ab group. This observation is hypothetically explained by the authors on the basis of the pleiotropic effect of the О gene (O-surplus), and on the basis of the heterosis effect seen in the heterozygotes of the blood-group (AB-deficiency) resp.
