ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerzők 52 ikerpár hallását vizsgálták audiometriásan, a csecsnyúlvány pneumatisatióját pedig Schüller-típusú rtg-felvétellel határozták meg, és az egyes eseteket planimetriásan értékelték. Az ikreknél talált halláscsökkenés százalékos megoszlása megfelel a normál iskoláskorú gyermekeknél találtaknak, és a pneumatisatio fokában sem észleltek szignifikáns különbséget. A pneumatisatio foka és a halláscsökkenés között összefüggést nem sikerült bizonyítani. Az ikerpárok 57,7%-ában találtak pneumatisatio-azonosságot.
Examination of the hearing and the pneumatiza- tion of the mastoid process in twins.
SUMMARY
Audiometric examination of the hearing has been performed by the authors in 52 pairs of twins, and the pneumatization of the mastoid process has been determined by means of roentgenograms of Schiiller’s type. The individual cases were evaluated by planimeter. The percentual repartition of impaired hearing observed in the twins corresponds to that found in the normal children in the schooling age, and significant divergences have not been found in the degree of pneumatization either. No relationship could be revealed between the degree of the pneumatization and the impairment of hearing. Identical pneumatization has been found in 57,7% of the pairs of twins.
