Sectiókor a beteg fül oldalán tojásnyi hemispherialis kisagytályogot találtak. Felveti a vertebralis angiographia és a fülészeti punctio problémáját.

Unrecognized case oj cerebellar abscess, poor in symptoms.

SUMMARY

The case of a 15-year-old patient is described, whose cerebellar abscess has not been recognized by means of complex examinations and the case ended lethally. At first, the patient has been treated for pneumonia and then for otogenous meningitis. During the two months’ hospitalization examinations for internal diseases, laboratory —, oto- logical —, neurological —, ophthalmological and radiological examinations have been carried out. In three otological operations exposure of the dura of the middle and posterior scala has been performed on large areas. At the third intervention, the dura of the posterior scala has been removed from the cranial bone, but no diagnostic puncture of the brain has been performed. The autopsy revealed an egg-sized, hemispherical cerebellar abscess on the side of the involved ear. — The problems of vertebral angiography and of the otological puncture are discussed.
