ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
Az irodalomban található különböző elméletek és vélemények ismertetése után saját 22 esetük alapján foglalkoznak a cholesterin granuloma, az idio- pathiás haemotympanum és cholesteatoma összefüggéseivel és az aetiopatho- genesis kérdéseivel. A cholesterin granuloma kialakulásában a tubafunctio- zavarának, a vérsavó fokozott cholesterin-tartalmának, a dobüregi bevérzésnek kóroki szerepét elvetik. Részletesen taglalják a cholesterin granuloma és cholesteatoma együttes megjelenését, az eseteikben talált pathologiás elváltozások lokalizációját. Vizsgálataik alapján lehetségesnek tartják, hogy а cholesterin granuloma és cholesteatoma ugyanazon betegségnek különböző lépcsőfoka.

SUMMARY
After the review of the different theories and opinions discussed in the literature, on the basis of 22 cases the relations between the cholesterin granuloma, the idiopathic hemotympanum and the cholesteatoma, and the etiopathogenesis are dealt with. In the development of the cholesterin granuloma, the etiologic role of the functional disturbance of the tuba, the increased cholesterin content of the serum and hemorrhage in the tympanic cavity is ruled out by the authors. — The simultaneous appearance of the cholesterin granuloma and the cholesteatoma is discussed in detail, and the localization of the pathologic changes observed in the authors’ cases is outlined. On the basis of their examinations it seems possible to the authors that the cholesterin granuloma and the cholesteatoma are the different gradients of the same disease.
