A szerző ismerteti a parotis sebészeti anatómiáját, majd seregszemlét tart a parotis megbetegedései között; külön kiemeli az arcideg megtartásának lehetőségeit. Foglalkozik az arcideg egyes ágainak vagy az egész plexus parotideus transplantatióval történő helyreállításával. Saját anyagát táblázatban állította össze, s néhány műtéti megoldást is ismertet.

SUMMARY
After outlining the surgical anatomy of the parotid gland, a review of its diseases is given, pointing out the possibilities of the conservation of the facial nerve. The reconstruction of the branches of the facial nerve or of the total parotid plexus by means of transplantation is discussed. The author’s cases are demonstrated in a table and some surgical methods are described.
