ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
Ma már semmi kétség nem fér ahhoz, hogy az ún. stapesinterpositiós eljárás az ostosclerosis okozta nagyothallás legtöbb reménnyel kecsegtető műtéti megoldása (Boenninghaus, Dworacek, Heermann, Portmann, Riiedi, Shambaugh, Shea, Zangemeister stb.).
Mi 50 beteget operáltunk a következő (Shea—Zangemeister-féle) technikával :

SUMMARY
Interpositional operations of the stapes are looked upon now as the best way of treatment of otosclerotic hardness of hearing. Results obtained in this way are quite durable. The author describes the technique of this operation (preservation of the stapes for the purpose of sound conduction, platinectomy, closing of the foramen ovale with fascia grafting) and then reports the operational results obtained in 50 patients. In about 90 per cent of the cases excellent and lasting results had been obtained. Neuroleptanalgesia proved to be of great value in stapedial operations. Failure of the operation has been caused mostly by hemorrhage into the open labyrinth. In cases of bleedings of the mucosa it is advisable to interrupt the operation for about 24 hours before performing the platinectomy and to wait for the thrombosis of the mucosal blood-vessels. He succeeded in taking out the sole of the stapes without danger of hemorrhage in 4 patients operated on in this way in two stages. In all thes^ cases functional results were very good.
