ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A tympanogen labyrinthitisről szóló nagyobb anyagra támaszkodó közleményekből az utóbbi években megállapítható, hogy a korábbi adatokhoz képest a heveny otitisből és mastoiditisből származó labyrinthitis megkevesbbe- dett az idült otitisből eredő labyrinthitisekkel szemben. Ezen belül is a circum- script labyrinthitisek gyakoribbak a diffusaknál. Mind a gyógyulás, mind a következményes koponyaüri elváltozások elhárítása kedvezőbben alakult (Götze, Ladüzsenszkaja, Miodonski).

SUMMARY
In the last few years a decrease of frequency of thypanogenous labyrinthitis may be observed. Within this group there is a relative increase of the number of labyrinthitis cases resulting from chronic otitis, a comparative increase of frequency of the cirumscribed form of the disease as against the diffuse one and a more favourable course of the labyrinthitis. This phenomenon can not be explained solely by the use of antibiotics.
In the cases of labyrinthitis connected with partial destruction and with demarcation of the latter, by means of adequate surgery and by administration of antibiotics full recovery and even conservation of the hearing may be attained.
Two cases are reported.
