SUMMARY
Since the introduction of antibiotics the prognosis of the cavernous syndrom associated with meningitis became more favourable. It is all the same what kind of antibiotics we have at our disposal, the condition of a successful treatment is always the opening of the purulent focus and the massive antibiotic and thrombosis-inlnbitivé treatment on the basis of antibiograms.
