A repülőforgalom az utóbbi években óriási fejlődésen ment keresztül. A megnövekedett utas- és repülőlétszám fokozott mértékben előtérbe helyezi a repülés közben előforduló megbetegedéseket.
Jelen cikkünkben a repülés alatt fellépő barotraumás melléküreg bántal- makkal, az aerosinusitissel foglalkozunk.
Aerosinusitis.
SUMMARY
In cases of atmospherical pressure changes associated with flight particularly in taking off or landing air is allowed to stream through the normal sinus orifice. But if the sinus orifice is narrowing down, pressure compensation becomes imperfect. Depending on the degree of the narrowing and on the degree of the pressure change associated with differences in altitude pressure gain or loss arises in the sinus, which may give rise to sinus trouble. The frontal cavity is involved in aerosinusitis more frequently than the facial cavity, because its air-outlet conditions are worse than in the case of the facial cavity. There are acute and chronic forms of aerosinusitis. Management is directed to the re-establishment of a perfect air-outlet.
