SUMMARY
Clinical, gross and microscopic features of cylindroma are described with a special regard to benignity and malignancy, then therapy is discussed. In the reported case, the tumour arose on the nasal mucosa, obturated both nasal meatuses, then, instead of growing in the direction of minor resistance, it infiltrated and perforated the hard palate. The tumour has been removed after preoperative irradiation, along with the resection of the palate. 4 years after the operation the patient is free of complaints and symptoms.
