A fül-orr- és gégészet terén egyike a legtöbb gondot okozó betegségeknek kétségen kívül a légutak skleromája. Elterjedése megakadályozásának hazánkban a legjobb útja az idején foganatosított rendszeres, hatékony gyógykezelés a szervezett megelőzés.
Antibiotic Treatment of Scleroma in the Dept, of ORL of the Brno University.
SUMMARY
First, the investigation of scleroma performed in Tchecoslovakia is briefly summarized. The advent of antibiotic drugs representing very efficient means of therapy has brought about a great change in the management of scleroma. 37 of 106 patients were treated with streptomycin, with very good results. The total dosis ranged from 15 to 160 gm. Recurrence was observed in 6 cases. 28 recurrences were noted in the group treated, prior to the antibiotic epoch, with autovaccine, x-rays, dilatation and other surgical methods. In the view of the author, the organization of preventive measures is necessary. To this goal, a special committee has been created by the Society of ORL.
