ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerzők tanulmányukban azt elemzik, hogy Pápai Páriz Ferenc Pax corporisának milyen fülészeti vonatkozásai vannak. „Az orvoslás mesterségében merő Eskulápius” — minek Bőd Péter nevezte — négy fejezetben is foglalkozik a fül „nyavalyáival”. A fülbetegségek és gyógymódjuk leírásának ma már csak orvostörténeti jelentősége van. De nem szabad megfeledkezni arról, hogy a munka a természettudományi gondolkodásmód és a népfelvilágosító törekvés együttes eredényeként született meg. Megszívlelendő, hogy a személyes közlésforma, amely a mű stílusát jellemzi, milyen fontos lehet az orvos és a beteg kapcsolatában.

SUMMARY
The authors analyse the otOlogical respects in the „Pax Corporis” work of Ferenc Pápai Páriz. The author — called by Péter Bod the Esculapius in the trade of healing — deals in 4 chapters with the ailments of the ear. The description of otolo- gical diseases and their therapy is only from the point of view of the history of medicine important today. One must not forget however that the work is the joint result of the natural-scientific way of thinking and the endeavours of people’s enlightenment. It is to be considered that the personal form of communication characterizing the style of the work may be very important in the relationship between doctor and patient.
