ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A tympanometria hibalehetőségeit tárgyalja. A mechanikus nehézségek (a mérőszonda hallójárati illesztése) után tympanogramokat közöl, melyeket adhezív folyamatban és otosclerosisban találtak, ezekből esetenként hibás következtetést vontak le, mert azok eltértek a várható eredményektől. Adhezív folyamatban a hegek normális tympanogramhoz vezethetnek. Ilyen esetben ajánlja a Siegle-tölcsér és Brünings-lupe használatát. Otosclerosisban viszont hiányozhat a normális tympanogram. A compliance-érték nagyságából általában nem következtethetünk a középfülfolyamat kiterjedésére. Kétes esetben a tympanotomia tisztázhatja végérvényesen a diagnózist.

SUMMARY
The possibilities of error in the tympanometry are discussed by the author. After the description of the mechanical difficulties (fitting of the measuring sound into the auditory canal) tympanograms are published, which have been obtained in adhaesive processes and in otosclerosis, and from these tympanograms erroneous conclusions — not conform to the probable results — have been drawn. In adhaesive processes the scars may give normal tympanograms. In these cases the use of Siegle’s otoscope and of Briinings-loupe is advocated by the author. On the other hand, in otosclerosis the normal tympanogram may be absent. Generally, from the compliance value no conclusions may be drawn in respect of the extension of the middle ear process. In dubious cases tympanoplasty may clear the diagnosis definitely.
