ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
Szerzők részletesen ismertetik az UICC által kidolgozott gégerák-osztályo- zási formát képező TNM-rendszert. Ennek alapján dolgozták fel a pécsi Fül-orr-gége klinika hatéves gégerákos beteganyagát. Kimutatják, hogy a TNM-osztályozás kiválóan alkalmas a supraglottikus, glottikus és subglot- tikus gégerákok rendszerezésére, és kellő mennyiségű információt képes adni a beteganyagról. Ugyanakkor a TNM systema a korábban alkalmazott stadium beosztásokat feleslegessé teszi.
The use and the evaluation of the TNM classification in the case of cancer of the larynx.
SUMMARY
The TNM method — accepted recently by the International Union Against Cancer for the classification of the cancer of the larynx — is discussed by the authors in detail. The 6 years’ material of cancer of the larynx, treated in the Oto-Rhino-Laryngological Department of the University Medical School, Pécs, has been analysed by the authors on the basis of this classification. It has been found by the authors that the TNM classification is very suitable for the systematization of the supraglottic —, glottic — and subglottic cancers of the larynx and it yields precious information in respect of the patients. In the same time, it is pointed out by the authors that the so-called external cancers of the larynx are not taken into consideration on the basis of the criteria so far used. They recommend the application of the TNM classification also in this respect.
