ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
Szerző a sziklacsonttörés késői szövődményeit tárgyalja, és egy észlelt esete kapcsán ismerteti a késői posttraumás mastoiditis kialakulását s e szövődmény létrejöttének feltételezett pathomechanizmusát. Esetében a trauma praedis- ponáló tényezőként szerepelt, mert az ép fülön többszöri otitis media ellenére sem fejlődött ki mastoiditis, a traumatizált oldalon viszont már az első otitis mastoiditishez vezetett.

SUMMARY
The late complications of the fracture of the petrous portion of the temporal bone are discussed. In connection with one observation the development of the late posttraumatic mastoiditis and the presumed pathomechanism are dealt with. In the author’s case, the trauma was the predisposing factor, because mastoiditis did not develop in the intact ear in spite of repeated otitis media; on the other hand, on the traumatized side the first otitis lead to mastoiditis.
