ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A tympanoplastica sikerét, eredményességét azámos más tényező mellett a hallócsontláncolat állapota határozza meg. A hallócsontláncolatot a szerző tíz functionalis-anatomiai segmentumra bontja, és meghatározza az egyes segmentumok elpusztultéból elméletileg kialakítható variatiókat. Ezek száma 1024 a Budapesti Orvostudományi Egyetem Fül-orr-gégeklinikájának 1200 fülműtétesetét átvizsgálva a szerző a lehetséges variatiók közül csupán 60 varians előfordulását találta. Ezek alapján kiszámította, hogy a hallócsontláncolat egyes részei milyen gyakorisággal pusztulnak el, melyek a hallócsont legsérülékenyebb és legellenállóbb részei. Az előfordult hallócsontláncolati károsodás variatiókat tympanoplasticai megoldások szerint csoportosítva következtetéseket igyekezett levonni a tympanoplasticai typusok gyakoriságára vonatkozóan.

SUMMARY
The results of tympanoplasty depend — besides various other factors — on the state of the auditory ossicular chain. The ossicular chain is subdivided by the author into ten functional-anatomical segments, and the variations resulting from the destruction of each segment are theoretically defined. 1024 variations are possible. On the basis of 1200 otological operations carried out in the Oto—Rhino — Laryngological Department of the University Medical School, Budapest, only 60 of the possible variations have been observed by the author. On the basis of these findings the frequency of the destruction of each segment of the ossicular chain has been determined by the author, pointing out the most vulnerable and the most resistent segments. The observed injuries of the auditory ossicular chain have been grouped on the basis of the methods of tympanoplasty to be performed and the frequency of the applied tympanoplastic methods is examined.
