ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
A szerzők 53 otosclerosisos betegnél vizsgálták meg a esecsenyújtvány pneumatisatiójának a fokát és megállapították, hogy otosclerosisos betegeknél lényegesen magasabb százalékban, 76,4%-ban található jól, vagy igen jól pneu- matisált csecsnyújtvány, szemben az egészséges egyéneknél található kb. 44 százalékkal. RTG vizsgálatok alapján megerősítik, hogy otosclerosisos csontfolyamat lehetséges gátolt, vagy hiányzó pneumatisatio mellett is. A csecsnyújtvány pneumatisatiójának foka, ill. nagyothallás mértéke között összefüggést nem találtak.
Examination of the pneumatization of the mastoid process in otosclerotic patients.
SUMMARY
The degree of pneumatization of the mastoid process has been examined in 53 otosclerotic patients by the authors. In 76,4% of these patients good or very good pneumstiza- tion of the mastoid process has been found, — that is, in considerably higher percentage than in normal individuals (approximately in 44% in these latter). On the basis of radiological examinations it has been confirmed by the authors that otosclerotic bone process may occur even in the case of impeded or absent pneumatization. No correlation has been found between the degree of pneumatization and the degree of hardness of hearing.
