ÖSSZEFOGLALÁS:
Szerzők — 100 acut otitises csecsemőnél és kisgyermeknél határozták meg a fül és a nasopharynx baktérium-flóráját, s vizsgálataik során csak 17 %-ban találtak azonos kórokozót a fülben és a nasopharynxban. Megállapítják, hogy az otitis kórokozója a nasopharynxban nem határozható meg, s — Dishoeek közlésével ellentétben — a célzott antibioticus therápia, csak a fülváladék bacteriológiai vizsgálata alapján állítható be.
Comparative Bacteriological Investigation of the Ear and the Nasopharynx in Cases of Acute Otitis.
SUMMARY
The authors determined the bacterial flora of the ear and the nasopharynx in 100 infants suffereing from acute otitis. They found identical pathogens in the ear and the nasopharynx in 17 per cent of the cases. In their opinion the pathogenic elements can not be determined in the nasopharynx and therefore — as contrasted with Bishoek’s statement — the aimed antibiotic treatment can be adjusted only on the basis of the bacteriological examination of the ear-secretion.
