Fiilműtéteinknek a század első évtizedeiben úgyszólván kizárólag az volt a célja, bogy a komplikációkat elhárítsuk, a beteg életét megmentsük és a baj kiújulását megakadályozzuk. Ebben az időben az idült középfülgennyedések legnagyobb részét radikálüreg képzéssel oldottuk meg. A vékony hámmal bélelt nagy csontüreg a cholesteatoma-recidivák kiküszöbölése érdekében szinte kívánatosnak is látszott.
The Possibilities of a Surgical Solution of Chronic Suppuration of the Middle Ear with Conservation of the Auditory Meatus.
SUMMARY
The author describes the possibilities of eliminating the radical cavity. The conservation of the auditory meatus seems to be more advantageous than the plastic filling up of it. In the former case the cavitiy becomes full with granulations. The author reports on his experience gained in connection with the extension of the field of indications of the meatoantrotomy and with the modification of its methodology. In case of need only a narrow bridge is left and the bony chain is cleaned in this way but in some cases malleostapedopexy or even radical cleaning of the middle ear too are performed. The skin left in connection with the remnants of the ear drum are put back in place. The plastic operation is left for a second stage after the radical meato- conservative surgery.
